Embroidery and darning needles
CHF 2.90
Whether for seaming knits, working cross stitch or fine embroidery, one of these sets will be just right!
The embroidery needles (sizes 3–9) are sharp and relatively fine, but thanks to the longer eye, easier to thread than standard sewing needles (especially when handling multiple strands).
Tapestry needles have a blunter tip so as to pass easily between the threads of evenweave linen, canvas etc. This makes for more even stitches and prevents damage to the fabric. The higher the number, the smaller the needle: size 26 is ideal for finer tapestries, sizes 18-24 for working with wool (including seaming knitted pieces).
Yarn darners (size 14–18) are the biggest needles and will work with any hand knitting yarns, from fine to chunky. Use them to seam your knits, or to embroider on top of them.
